Position Overview:

The Sun Valley Animal Center seeks to add a full-time Veterinary Technician Supervisor to our outstanding team.

Located in the beautiful ski resort mountain town of Sun Valley, Idaho, this state-of-the-art practice is one of the premier veterinary hospitals in the Northwest. Our technicians play an integral role in providing excellent medical care for our patients and customer service for our clients. A positive, compassionate attitude is required for all SVAC team members. Salaries and benefits are very competitive and offered according to experience.

Essential Functions:

The position details include a working supervisor who performs the duties of medical technical staff (e.g., technicians and assistants) as well as scheduling, overseeing training, and supervising the staff of the assigned department. Must be able to expedite the care and efficiency of the department, and be in charge of patient care standards. The right candidate must lead team by example, demonstrating organization skills, following company policies, and having a professional attitude

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or the equivalent.

* Veterinary Technician License or at 5 years' experience preferred

* High level of competence in the complete range of veterinary technician skills.

* Working in a team environment.

* Customer Service.

* Attention to detail.

* Verbal and written communication skills.

* Supervisory skills, including performance management, feedback, and communications.

* Staff scheduling skills.

* Professionalism and ability to properly handle confidential information.

Schedule:

* 4, 10-hour shifts

Additional Notes:

* Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or the Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) preferred or equivalent experience.

* Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or must possess or be eligible to be granted a Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substances Permit (VACSP) in California or equivalent as required by other states.
