We need an evening full-time dispatcher in McHenry, Illinois. We are seeking compassionate, driven, team-oriented person to serve the people in our community by supporting them with safe and efficient transportation. *Training takes places as a Call Center Reservationist for $19.00/HR before moving to training as a McHenry Dispatcher. $21.00/HR rate starts after the 90-day dispatcher training period.

Our Dispatchers are responsible for:

Oversees all routing and scheduling of buses; dispatch buses and provide timely information to drivers and passengers on route.

Reorganize and reschedule trips and runs when necessary, or beneficial, to ensure effective and efficient routing of service.

Take calls from riders who are checking on estimated times of arrival and requesting same-day rides.

Ensure On-Time-Performance and Productivity requirements are met.

Handles heavy phone and radio traffic with professionalism.

Checking drivers in before each AM and PM route.

Controlling and monitoring driver hours to help ensure fair distribution of work and assignment budgeting.

Maintaining dispatch logs, route sheets, and other dispatch documents and reports.

Assists drivers with day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with operating contract, state and local ordinances, and company policies and procedures.

Provides solutions to drop-off and pick-up problems; resolve issues as needed.

Making quick decisions to ensure routes are covered. Making judgement calls to ensure safety.

Other Duties as assigned.

To qualify as a Dispatcher, youll need:

A minimum of a High School diploma or GED

Able to operate a computer

Complete any training requirements

Communicate clearly in English

Able to operate standard telephone system

Exercise business telephone etiquette

Be at least 21 years of age
