JOB SUMMARY:
- A Licensed Nurse Practitioner supports the school staff/faculty in caring for the health requirements of the student population. Complying with the laws relating to student health, including parental and guardian consent; providing appropriate care of ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; providing health information and serving as a resource to parents, teachers, staff, and administrators; all under the direction of a registered nurse
Qualifications For Certified Nursing Assistant
- Licensed Practical Nurse in state of Florida
- Secondary Certification
- 2 years experience in a caregiving role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Can follow directions exactly
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent patient care skills.
- General knowledge of nursing and health care terminology.
Education and Experience:
- Current Florida licensure required.
- Postsecondary certificate from vocational school or associate degree in nursing required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May require prolonged periods of standing, moving, and bending.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
