Role Description: The client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee all aspects of supply chain operations for new ship construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes while ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services to support production activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and finance teams, to forecast demand, identify supply chain risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost reductions, and operational excellence initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance of the supply chain and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize carrying costs, and ensure adequate stock availability to support production schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies and procedures related to supply chain management.


Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor's or Associate's degree.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in Shipbuilding or Maritime Transportation.
  • Must have experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Houma, Louisiana.
