We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven leadership skills and expertise in financial management and analysis. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will play a critical role in driving strategic financial initiatives, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements


Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash management strategies
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to facilitate the annual audit and tax compliance process
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance and adaptation as needed



Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems, with specific expertise in Great Plains preferred
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethics
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively
