**Position Overview**
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for our Patient Financial Services Department located at 4901 Searle Parkway, Skokie, IL. This is a full-time position and is benefits eligible. Hours will be scheduled Monday-Friday,
9:00 am-5:30 pm, 40 hours per a week. The purpose of this job is to provide accurate information and facilitate resolution to patient and third party inquires, regarding NorthShore accounts receivable (hospital and physician), while representing the company in a professional and positive manner.
**Responsibilities**
In this role, you will:
* Meet minimum daily productivity and quality standards according to department policy
* Respond to inquiries on account balances
* Respond to inquiries regarding receipt of payment(s)
* Generate itemized bill requests when appropriate
* Process Physician Office Requests
* Respond to request for addition/deletion of insurance coverage
* Initiate payment arrangements
* Update Guarantor information as requested
* Correct contractual adjustments when deemed appropriate
**Qualifications**
Our ideal candidate will have:
* High School Diploma required/ 2 years post high school education or degree preferred
* 1 year of general office experience, required. 1 year of experience in a healthcare financial setting, strongly preferred. 1 year of satisfactory performance in a customer service environment, strongly preferred
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Proficient in PC applications as well as Windows environment
