As a Detailer, you will report to dispatch to receive vehicle packets. You will pick up a vehicle packet or packets from service dispatch. The fuel level is checked. If not full, the fuel is topped off. The vehicle is pre-soaked and then runs through the on-site car wash. Vehicles are then pulled into the detail bay. All interior and exterior plastic is removed and disposed of. The vehicle is vacuumed and floor mates are laid out. Interior windows may require cleaning.

Pre-Prep Detailer Responsibilities Include:
  • Staging completed vehicles in the designated staging area for PDI and LPO Technicians.
  • Alert the Service Supervisor if defects or damage are found on any of the vehicles while being cleaned.
  • Assist the Service Department with vehicle movement on- or off-site as needed.
  • Assist with license plate removal or installation.
  • Clean vehicles, check fuel, and top off fuel if needed.
Pre-Prep Detailer Qualifications and Skills:
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
