Network Administrator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research, analyze, design, test, and evaluate network systems while maximizing efficiency for staff and members.
  • Support all network hardware, software and equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, pcs, servers and all other peripheral devices.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain all systems, applications, security and network configurations.
  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
  • Assist in maintaining updated operating procedure manuals, documentation, and change control process for IT systems.
  • Assist in ongoing research of new technology available to provide the members with service and products and/or increase staff efficiency.
  • Assist in daily operations and maintenance of all internal and third-party systems.
  • Provide support to end users in the maintenance of software programs and hardware.
  • Assist the AVP IT and staff of the Credit Union with other duties as required from time to time; including but not limited to the phone system, copiers, printers, pcs, laptops, etc.
  • Provide database administration to include backup, maintenance, data extraction and security of data.
Full-time role, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This opportunity is onsite in Sioux Falls, SD. Starting pay range is $68,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually, depending on experience.

Requirements

Network Administrator Specific Competencies: The ideal individual will be a credible IT professional with the initiative to solve problems and support our internal teams. Must demonstrate knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and protocols, CISCO, Meraki, voice-over IP, telecommunications, hardware, and software.

Network Administrator Education and Experience: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or 2-5 years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
