Job Description:We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Moving Assistant to join our team and assist in various aspects of the moving process. As a Moving Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient relocation of our clients' belongings. If you are a motivated and physically capable individual with a strong work ethic, we'd love to have you as part of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading furniture, appliances, and other household items onto and from moving trucks.
Packing and Unpacking: Help pack items securely in boxes, and unpack them at the destination. Ensure items are handled with care to prevent damage.
Furniture Assembly and Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble furniture as required, ensuring that items are reassembled correctly and securely.
Safe Handling: Handle fragile and valuable items with the utmost care, using appropriate equipment and protective materials.
Transportation Assistance: Assist in driving moving vehicles or navigating directions when necessary, maintaining safety and obeying traffic rules.
Inventory Management: Keep track of items during the move, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly labeled.
Customer Service: Interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their questions or concerns throughout the moving process.
Physical Fitness: Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and navigating stairs, while adhering to safety guidelines.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and keep moving equipment and tools in good working condition.
Adherence to Safety: Follow all safety protocols to minimize the risk of accidents or damage to property.
Qualifications:
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- A strong work ethic with a commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.
- Attention to detail to ensure the safety of items during the move.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and pass.
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR (if driving is required).
- Previous experience in the moving or logistics industry is a plus but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
- Bilingual: Ability to speak Spanish (preferred but not required).
