They are looking for a Compliance Officer to join their Global Compliance Team, responsible for ensuring that the client s operations adhere to the laws that regulate their business. The Compliance Officer- North America will report to the Director of Global Compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the business has effective systems, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable requirements in the US and Canada, as a fintech company in the payments industry.
  • Act as a point of contact with acquirers, financial partners, and regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support the compliance program for North America.
  • Manage the compliance program for North America on behalf of a dynamic, innovating global leader in the payments industry.
  • Run regular monitoring, report the results to Group Corporate Compliance, and assist in elaborating further implementation, and supervision over the remediation activities.


Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/master's degree in law or other compliance-related fields.
  • Experience as a compliance officer, preferably from a fintech or financial industry company, acquirer, bank, etc.
  • At least 4 years experience in compliance and regulatory affairs, mainly AML/CFT, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, etc.
  • Experience in developing and administrating internal controls and processes.
  • Strong business acumen.
