The Maintenance Technician is a multi-skilled craftsperson responsible for the installation/start-up and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical processes used in manufacturing, as well as support equipment located in the building or on the grounds-the objective being to maximize production and functional longevity and appearance of the building, grounds and equipment.

Pay Range: $30 to $34 per hour

What You Will Do

  • Follow all safety guidelines and participate as a fully-empowered team member to achieve organization-wide goal of zero incidents
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment
  • Plans and performs work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment
  • Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, etc.
  • Observes devices and equipment in operation and troubleshoot problems
  • Performs skilled maintenance and repair services of facility systems such as mechanical, electrical and building systems.
  • Installs and prepares equipment for startup, as required
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts and installs special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary
  • Quality of work meets best equipment engineering and maintenance practices
  • Work closely with all shift peers and production team members
  • Responsible for housekeeping in work area
