Position Description:
Responsible for the efficient operation of the Security Department during assigned shift. provides leadership, guidance, training, and organization
Job Functions
* Provide security, safety, and protection for guests, employees, and property and company assets.
* Patrolling through the property (nongaming attractions, back of the house areas, gaming areas, and outdoor areas) by means of standing, walking, driving a motorized vehicle, looking for disturbances, illegal activity, or safety hazards and take appropriate action when needed.
* Participate in personnel-related matters including but not limited to: training, coaching, counseling, and evaluating.
* Supervise, perform and respond to normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
* Assist security officers with assigned duties when necessary.
* Ensure personnel follow and equally and fairly enforce approved procedures and policy.
* Respond to all major crimes, incidents, unusual occurrences, in addition to the assigned security officer.
* Perform investigations related to incidents (criminal, medical, accidents, complaints, and missing property) and produce a comprehensive incident report on the subject if required. Assist Officers with their investigations when needed to insure all documentation is acquired for the report.
* Administer disciplinary action when needed
* Other duties as assigned by management
Position Requirements:
* Must be at least 21 years of age.
* A minimum of two (2) years experience working within the casino security office or a combination of law enforcement and/or supervisory experience required.
* Must meet requirements of a Security Officer.
* Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a normal shift.
* Other physical requirements include but are not limited to: lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, and episodes of moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
