Mentor company looking for Machine Operators
Job Description:
Set Up, Operate, troubleshoot and repair VB8 Machine. Must have metal cutting experience and experience using drills/taps in a machining environment
Job Duties:
-Install the tooling for the setup off the setup sheets
-Adjust the machine to make accurate pieces
-Collaborate with QC to check the parts to ensure the setup correct
-Must have Manual dexterity for machine adjustments
-Adjust the machine as required to keep the parts in tolerance
-Change tooling as needed
-Utilize internal computer system for QC
-Load the machine
-Maintain the machine in good working order
-Tumble parts for burrs and eliminating chips
-Place the parts on a skid to transport to QC
Requirements:
-Must be able to use and understand standard measuring devices & equipment This includes calipers, micrometers, pitch micrometers, hardness testers, thread gages, and various specialized hand gages as well as comparators
-Computer literacy as there is extensive use of proprietary software in the job
-Must be able to read and understand blueprints related to products being received
Things to know:
-Lifting maximum of 35 lbs 4 to 6 times per shift
-Check pieces to the quality standards and then dump a 4 lb basket
-Lifting a maximum of 50 Ibs 1 to 2 time per week
-Forklift experience is a plus
