Job Description

Chemical Engineer will play an instrumental part in translating EnergyX's lithium separation technologies into demonstration-scale leading to commercialization. The role will be part of the R&D team and report to the Research and Development Engineer, Team Lead. The position is based in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

Work on a team of experienced EnergyX scientists and engineers on projects focused on disruptive materials and engineering systems to fundamentally transform scientific aspects of the energy industry including:

  • Conduct process modeling and simulation to optimize operations and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Analyze data and perform calculations to support decision-making processes.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and develop solutions to ensure continuous operation.
  • Participate in research and development activities to enhance product performance.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in process engineering.
  • Proficiency in process modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Experience with Metsim software preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the chemical industry.
