Position Overview:

As a Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of retail and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent in the retail and commercial construction sector, demonstrating strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead and coordinate all phases of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate on-site construction teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to maximize team performance.

Client Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on project progress.
  • Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction throughout the construction process.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet project specifications.

Safety Compliance:

  • Uphold strict safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project efficiency.

Communication Skills:

  • Draft and send professional and effective emails to project stakeholders.
  • Facilitate clear and concise communication within the project team and with external partners.

Problem Solving:

  • Identify and address challenges promptly, implementing effective solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent in high end retail and commercial construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Proficient in project scheduling software.
  • OSHA 62 hour
