General Summary:
The Green Bay Gamblers Hockey Club is currently accepting applications for an Event Management and Ticketing Internship for the 2024-2025 season. The internship will start in September 2024 and run through April/May 2025. Candidates must be able to work game nights and weekends throughout the entire season. Applicants should possess excellent people skills, be reliable, timely, willing to learn in a fast-paced environment, and be eager to work in sports. As a participant in the Gamblers internship program, you will gain valuable experience in all aspects of the Green Bay Gamblers organization. Previous interns have acquired full time employment with sports teams of all levels. Job Functions:

  • Work at least 90% of home games including any potential playoff games. (mostly weekends and holidays).
  • Assist with any pre- and post-game activities (Set up, tear down, giveaways etc.).
  • Be able to work 10 to 20 office hours per week as needed.
  • Create promotions and sales strategies to increase ticket sales.
  • Assist in ticketing and group sales initiatives including cold calls and client prospecting.
  • Help to promote the Gamblers brand at various events and locations.
  • Help with ticketing issues and generate new ideas to grow sales.
  • Organize and execute a variety or game promotions and group outings.
  • Be outgoing and friendly to all patrons.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:
  • Possess excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Offer superior customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet. Social media skills are a plus.
  • Ticketing software experience is a plus.
  • Can work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
  • A positive and professional attitude will be always expected.
  • The Green Bay Gamblers do not provide housing or transportation.
