**GENERAL SUMMARY**
* The Machine Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the process equipment to establish a clean environment for producing and packaging quality products.
* Ensures equipment and facility are effectively sanitized in accordance with established food manufacturing regulations and in compliance with government sanitation requirements. Performs plant cleaning as prescribed by the Master Sanitation Schedule.
* Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of plant.
* Utilizes powered cleaning equipment that may include powered lifts, scissors lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors and various non-mechanized equipment.
* Works independently, in a high efficiency level and learns and performs proper Allergen Elimination Procedures.
* Primary Employees are expected to work on the sanitation area team of appointment.
* Employees will be trained how to clean and sanitize the production equipment are area that they have been assigned to.
* Assignment is dependent on relative crewing needs across the facility.

**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED**
No Education Equivalency required.
**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
No prior experience required.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED**
High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Machine cleaning experience preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
