Payroll Specialist


Job Details

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensuring the payroll department is following federal and state regulations and guidelines and administering payroll
- Processing end-to-end payroll for weekly, semi-monthly, monthly payrolls
- Partner with Human Resources and Finance as necessary as it relates to payroll and personnel costs
- Run various audit reports pre and post payroll processing to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
- Research and resolve discrepancies and analyze any variances
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports
- Report creation and maintenance in payroll - time and attendance systems
- Testing and validation of new configuration within systems

Educational Requirements

- High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements

- Minimum 5 to 7 years' proven experience with end-to-end payroll processing in ADP Global View, SAP (HCM or ECPayroll) and related master data and timekeeping systems
- Payroll administration / oversight experience working with offshore service centers required

Skills Requirements

- Knowledgeable on U.S. wage and hour laws, payroll compliance, and regulations including garnishment and multi-state tax regulations as it relates to payroll
- ADP Global View experience
- Familiarity, and previous work with WOTC (Work Opportunity Tax Credit)
- Strong organizational skills and be able to multi-task
- Strong attention to detail while striving to maintain accuracy
- Ability to work independently without close supervision and demonstrates good problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Strong customer service skills and adaptability
