Overview

Our esteemed client, a prominent Biotech firm committed to enhancing the well-being of individuals afflicted with autoimmune disorders, is currently seeking a Research Scientist to join their team. This immediate opening pertains to bolstering their oncology program.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound scientific fervor, specifically in the domain of emerging pre-clinical human disease-relevant complex in vitro cellular models (CIVM), with a specialized focus on 3D bioprinting. This role is pivotal in facilitating the evaluation and validation of lead candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory based cellular experiments including 2D and 3D cell cultures.
  • Apply state-of-art 3D bioprinter technology to develop new human disease relevant models and understand the mechanism of actions of lead candidates in their pipeline.
  • Work independently in the laboratory with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, evaluate data, prepare reports and presentations for internal meetings in a timely manner
  • Should be highly independent and organized, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should be proficient at reviewing the relevant scientific literature to build protocols using Pubmed and other resources.

Requirements

  • Master s degree and 1-5 years of combined experience in biopharma and academia or Ph.D. with 1-2 years of experience in academia or biopharma.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a research background in solid tumors, hematological malignancies, or immuno-oncology.
  • Candidates with prior hands-on experience in techniques such as 3D cell models, 3D bioprinting, and co-culture systems are highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with multicolor flow cytometry and standard molecular and cell biology techniques is required, including immunoblotting, Western Blotting, qPCR, ELISA, and luminescence-based detection methods.
  • Experience in developing and optimizing functional cellular assays is a must.
  • This is a laboratory-based role requiring the candidate to work on-site.
