The Role:

The Traffic Coordinator will assist the Traffic Department in coordinating parking logistics and facilitating the activities of Field Traffic Supervisors, On-call Traffic and Revenue Supervisors, and On-call Traffic Attendants. This position will also act as a liaison with customers and traffic stakeholders to ensure the execution of effective and efficient traffic programs and staffing levels at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate traffic and parking plans and participate in LVCC traffic flow and parking planning meetings.
  • Ensure effective communication of traffic flow and parking location-related information and directives about daily traffic operations and show-specific details to ambassadors and traffic stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the administration of paid parking revenue, budgeting, audits, payroll, and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Monitor financial controls of revenue banks, permit sales, cashiers, and all related reports and audits. Provide insight and analysis on efficiencies and missed parking revenue opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with internal and external transportation stakeholders.
  • Assist with developing new, innovative programs in customer service, revenue collection and control, ambassador recognition and talent acquisition.
  • Assist with the coordination and participate in interviews, the hiring process, and the training of ambassadors. Address complaints and resolve problems, escalating when necessary.
  • Research modern parking processes and automation technologies to identify opportunities for efficiencies at the LVCC.
  • Monitor related Federal, State, and Local transportation laws affecting the LVCC and advise management of changes.
  • Participate in construction and renovation meetings when pertaining to parking and traffic matters.


What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is desired
  • A minimum of two years of experience with progressive responsibility in parking administration, traffic control, or a combination of experience and training
  • Knowledge of Federal ADA parking standards and other applicable State/Local standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and other departments
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from diverse groups of managers, clients, vendors, customers, and the general public
  • Demonstrate a commitment to valuing differences among individuals and a passion for being inclusive
  • Proficient in office equipment and Microsoft Office products, i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
  • May be required to work outside regular business hours
  • Must have a valid Nevada driver's license at the time of appointment and maintain it during employment
