In addition, you will file, prepare, and deliver supplies. An Inventory Processor will also maintain the storage area while utilizing the inventory system.The ideal future caregiver is someone who: Is a good communicator and self-starter. Is team oriented. When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.Job Responsibilities:Utilizes Inventory System to order supplies and maintain proper inventory levels.Reviews and inputs data.Maintains Central Distribution inventory by properly rotating stock and expiration management.Takes daily inventory of all supplies for assigned ventories and restocks isolation/code/procedural carts as needed.Fills orders for supplies/equipment and delivers supplies/equipment as needed.Charges supplies/equipment to cost centers, and issues credit for returns (24/7 operation).Receives orders using MMIS system, verifies proper items are received with the orders, and delivers to the requesting department.Delivers supplies/equipment to the proper departments and places them where stocked. Rotates stock for first in/first out usage.Assists in researching problem orders (i.e., back orders, incorrect shipments, damaged products, product substitutions, product recalls, returns, and stock level adjustments).Maintains storage areas.Makes necessary storage changes to accommodate additional items to be stored.Cleans carts and storage areas.Attends annual required in-services.Performs clerical and housekeeping duties and lesser skilled duties as needed.Other duties as assigned.Follows Hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and pletes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.Education:High school graduate or the equivalent.Certifications:None requiredComplexity of Work:Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Must have the ability to work harmoniously with others.Work Experience:Established current knowledge of medical products as demonstrated by a minimum of one year experience in a health care environment in an area equivalent to nursing assisting medical assisting surgical assisting general or unit clerk or sterile processing area or two years of inventory experience utilizing an inventory management system.Experience/understanding of inventory control process.Experience with inventory/equipment software tracking systems preferred.Skill in data entry and use of PCs preferred (e.g. Excel/Word).Physical Requirements:Ability to push pull stoop lift at least 70 pounds and perform routine tasks.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Salaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
