MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR / SHOP FOREMAN

Job Objective: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance processes for the bus fleet according to the guidelines established by the Maintenance Management and in coordination with the general management of the business unit, ensuring the proper functioning of the bus fleet, accurate registration of information related to the maintenance information system, and associated documentation.


Job Functions:

Coordinate daily maintenance activities for the fleet with business unit management and maintenance management.

Open and close work orders for the execution of activities for each bus, allocating consumed resources (parts and supplies), labor, and other consumed resources.

Supervise maintenance plans in Samsara and communicate with the business unit management and maintenance management for fleet scheduling.

Coordinate fleet rotation with the operations assistant to ensure service provision and maintenance execution.

Review budgets from suppliers and coordinate approval with the business unit manager and maintenance management, recording them in the maintenance information system.

Manage the inventory of parts and supplies for the business unit, controlling goods inflow and outflow from the warehouse, recording each movement to ensure inventory reliability. This includes conducting periodic general inventories.

Monitor supplier warranties.

Supervise mechanical technicians of the business unit, monitoring their schedules, activity execution, and work quality.

Supervise the quality of the washing service.

Record and report issues (DVIR) in the Samsara information system.

Inspect buses in the yard using the corresponding checklist to detect pending issues that need correction.

Make necessary purchases for the business unit and record them in the company's information systems, subject to approval from maintenance management and business unit management.

Issue purchase orders for materials and supplies for normal operation, following the approval workflow until materials are delivered to the warehouses.

Coordinate the delivery of supplies to fleet washing staff.

Prepare expense reports for various payment methods assigned by the company.

Manage the mechanics assigned to the business unit, monitoring and supervising their assigned tasks, time and schedules, as well as ensuring they accurately record their hours in the clock system.


Requirements and conditions of the position:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or related fields

Standard working hours with availability in emergency situations or special circumstances.

Mid/Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.

On-site: Dallas, Texas.
