We are currently seeking a talented Group Sales Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Group Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue by focusing on selling group room bookings at the hotel. Your responsibilities will include identifying and targeting potential clients, negotiating contracts, and ensuring exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty. With your proven sales expertise and dedication to achieving targets, you will contribute to the continued success and growth of the hotel.



SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Group Sales Manager is responsible for delivering excellence in guest service by developing relationships with guests, providing personalized service, and anticipating and delivering guests needs. This position offers a rare opportunity to be part of the latest venture from iconic hotelier Ian Schrager, requiring the successful applicant to work closely with the team to nurture and grow the brand.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Be an ambassador for the hotel by meeting and exceeding core objectives and values.
  • Be fully accountable for the people, product, and profit within the hotel.
  • Achieve individual quarterly booking quotas.
  • Participate in the creation of an annual marketing plan.
  • Responsible for solicitation of new business and growth from existing clients.
  • Responsible for site inspections, client entertaining, client visits, and hosting receptions and FAM s.
  • Attend trade shows/sales trips while staying in line with travel budgets.
  • Develop relationships with guests, group contacts, neighbors, and other guests in order to provide personalized service.
  • Respond to guests requests in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Expert in Sales and representation of the hotel, along with excellent knowledge of all facets of the property.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures at all levels.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintain a high level of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late hours when necessary.
  • Meet/exceed sales goals as assigned supporting team goals.
  • Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possesses excellent phone skills and is guest service-oriented and proactive.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
  • Ability to be friendly, engaging, gracious and the ability to focus and connect with all guests and team members and exceed their expectations.
  • Have an upbeat, energetic, authentic, and professional attitude at all times.
  • Know how to participate in a team environment and assist other departments when needed, providing lateral service.
