Position Summary

The Accounting Associate is responsible for assisting with the timely preparation and completion of daily and weekly transactions and reconciliations to support the month end close and reporting process. This role supports all financial activities performing important functions such as: processing daily cash deposits and reconciliations, reviewing prepaid schedules, processing all non-billable orders, managing all sales tax filings, and reporting requirements, preparing monthly revenue testing packages and works on special projects when required. All duties are performed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. In addition, this role will work closely with our Germany subsidiary on an as needed basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tracks prepaid assets, calculates monthly amortization, and generates related reports.
  • Manages and processes all 'non-billable' Sales Orders utilizing NetSuite.
  • Assist the Revenue Manager in the calculation and management of the royalty accounting process.
  • Prepares journal entries and submits for approval as required.
  • Manage day to day cash transactions and month-end cash reconciliations. Assist our Germany subsidiary with same.
  • Prepare monthly revenue testing package creation and submit for review/approval.
  • Keeping up with 3-way product revenue matching.
  • Analyzing workflow processes and working to optimize them where possible.
  • Works closely with immediate team and other functions to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • Assists with quarterly reviews and annual audits by the Company's external auditors.
  • Performs other duties as may be requested or required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in accounting or business.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in general accounting.
  • Experience and proficiency in using structured accounting systems is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle numerous projects and deliverables concurrently.
  • Strong attention to detail and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude, and a collaborative working style, with a willingness to roll-up sleeves and get things done.
  • Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, and manage the successful execution of multiple projects/priorities simultaneously.
