POSITION: Master Press / Filter Technician
DEPARTMENT: Pressing/Filtering Department
SHIFT INTENTION: 1st Shift
DESCRIPTION:
- Able to operate the ulta filtration, pressing, thermal, chilling and sanitation process for the ultra filter and Bucher presses.
- Chemical safety for tank, tanker, presses, filters cleaning and sanitizing.
- Prepares paperwork for quality assurances, raw materials usage, millipore cleaning and chemical inventory.
- Certified in towmotor operations and flavor evaluation program.
- Performs minor repairs and adjustments on all pressing equipment and is responsible for informing management of repairs or repair parts needed in order to maintain maximum mechanical efficiency.
- Performs all liquid analytical functions in filtration dept.
- Has operational knowledge on pressure and vacuum filter, concentrator, liquid piping system for liquid conveying and running polygallons.
- Loads and transports pomace trucks and unloads pulp tankers as needed.
- Responsible for other assigned duties to include but not limited to housekeeping, safety, etc.
