Job Details
- Schedule: Mon/Tues - Friday, 1PM-6PM
- Timeline: June 17th - August 9th (some sites starting June 10th)
- Work Locations: Various Los Angeles County Libraries
Job Highlights
- Pay rate:
- $22 per hour standard
- $23 per hour if bilingual (Spanish or other preferred language based on site request)
- $24 per hour if credentialed teacher or certificated tutor
- Potential to work 160 hours during the LA County Library summer period
- Those looking for full-time hours will be eligible for LAUSD tutoring in the morning hours, based on location
- Bonus for outstanding attendance
- Gas reimbursement when working multiple programs
- Opportunity to work year around with LAUSD and other school districts
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 60 units of college credits with a minimum of 1 year of tutoring exp. (preferably Math and ELA)
- Established proficiency in subject matter
- Detail-oriented and highly dependable
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Motivation and passion to help students achieve academic excellence
- Must have reliable transportation for in-person tutoring. If driving, proof of insurance for your vehicle is needed
- Must clear reference check & FBI/DOJ background check processes
- Must provide a negative tuberculosis test (valid within the last 2 years)
- Please provide a copy of any certification you hold such as a Teacher s Credential/Certification or Tutor Certification
- National Tutoring Association certification available to StudentNest tutors
