We are currently seeking an experienced **Full-Time Dishwasher** to become part of our culinary team. As our Dishwasher, you will:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans the dining/kitchen areas by mopping floors, washing serving areas, cleaning spills and garbage.
Washes dishes, table service, pots and pans and all other items utilized dining services. Returns items to proper storage area once cleaned.
Responsible for maintaining safe and sanitary work habits while handling food and operating equipment in accordance with WRS policies and procedures.
Performs other job duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Attends in-service meetings as scheduled.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Entry-level position requiring no previous related work experience.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English with staff and residents.
High School diploma or GED equivalency necessary.
Ability to adapt to changing work duties and perform repetitive job functions.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with older adults in a CCRC environment.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must have the physical abilities to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, lift, carry, push, hear and see.
Work performance will require the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, routinely lift 15-20 lbs.
Ability to meet the general health conditions set forth by WRS which include a physical exam, a negative 2-step TB skin test and/or chest X-ray, and/or other tests as my be required.
Operation of equipment and performance of duties may expose employee to wet floors, steam equipment, knives and slicer, heated surfaces, etc.
