Job Details

LHH is seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Assistant interested in a full-time job opportunity in Troy, MI. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional for this position. The corporate legal assistant will support attorneys in the corporate legal department by performing administrative tasks, assisting with legal research, drafting documents, maintaining corporate records, and communicating with clients and other parties. They will help ensure the efficient operation of the legal team and compliance with corporate governance requirements.


Job Responsibilities


  • Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate documents, such as articles of incorporation, bylaws, and minutes.
  • Maintain corporate records and databases, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Assist with due diligence and document review for corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions.
  • Prepare and coordinate the execution of legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and resolutions.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, hearings, and other appointments for attorneys.
  • Conduct legal research and gather information as requested by attorneys.
  • Assist with the drafting and editing of legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties to obtain or provide information.
  • Manage and organize physical and electronic files, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly maintained.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, managing calendars, and processing expenses.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company or clients.
  • Collaborate with other legal assistants, attorneys, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and client service.


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of solid legal assistant experience, experience in corporate law is mandatory.
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • A thorough understanding of litigation procedures and the discovery process
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, proactive mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Pay Details: $70,000 to $80,000 based on experience
