The Calibration Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of calibration activities to ensure the accuracy and precision of test equipment.
The position will be based at DEWETRON US headquarters in East Greenwich, RI.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform automated calibration of inspection, measurement, and test equipment including setup and configuration
- Work extensively with various test equipment
- Identify out of tolerance conditions and rectify via adjustments, correction factors, or process change
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
- Maintain secondary and/or working calibration standards
- Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibration
- Prepare calibration reports and certificates
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Participation to Proficiency Test (PT) or Inter-lab Comparison (ILC)
- Statistical Analysis like Repeatability and Reproducibility.
- Update and maintain ISO-17025:2017 documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Electrical Engineer degree preferred; or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: Basic Computer; Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office
- Computer skills preferred: automated calibration software
- CRM & ERP experience preferred.
- Basic ability to configure and operate equipment
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be a self-motivator, work as a team player, and follow written procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently required to stand; walk and sit
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move no more than 50 pounds
