Machinist Apprentice

Job Details

Hamill is 100% Employee Owned and Operated and looking for a motivated individual to join our team.

Hamill has maintained a registered machinist apprenticeship program for over 50 years and is a leader in developing the curriculum to ensure that program graduates have the skills needed to compete in the evolving manufacturing workforce. Upon completion of the Machinist Apprenticeship program, Hamill s Journeyperson Machinists earn at least $23/hour depending on skill set, experience, and other performance measures.

During the apprenticeship, apprentices attend one evening class per week and receive paid in-house, on-the-job training for 4 years. Based upon mechanical and mathematical abilities, students can also test out of one year of the program, thus shortening the education period. Tuition is also paid and upon completion of NIMS projects throughout, multiple pay increases are awarded. At full completion of the machinist apprenticeship program, apprentices receive state-awarded Journeyperson Machinist papers.

We are looking for someone with some technical training, on-the-job experience, or who is mechanically inclined and looking to make a career change.

We are an established company that provides machined products to the U.S. Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program as well as commercial customers.
