Job Details

• Our Rhode Island based retail client is looking for a Jewelry Merchandise Assistant with 2+ years' experience for an immediate 6+ week contract; this role is onsite Monday-Friday and 40 hours per week. Youwork with the Product Development Team in the measuring and describing of jewelry pieces with measurements, description, colors and weight. Experience with jewelry materials and terminology in order to provide correct description of components
• Understand different types of measurements for all jewelry components.
• Work closely with sample makers in order to confirm they receive the correct jewelry components for specking.
• Assist Production Department with specking out styles for actual production to help vendors be accurate on designs.
• Interpret rough sketches, drawing and computer renderings for components.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ year s experience in jewelry assembly or components for a jewelry brand or retailer.
• Ability to work on various projects concurrently, time management and priority setting skills a must.
• Analytical with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
• Outstanding verbal & written communication skills in English language
• Self-starter, self-motivated and team player a must
• Microsoft office knowledge a must
