Summary/Objective

Engage with the sales force as the commodities product champion to drive sales and increase product knowledge. Build relationships with our strategic partners and vendors to ensure the best pricing possible for United; negotiating and the associated risk/stress must be second nature.

Essential Functions

Serves as a product expert within the organization.

Markets our capabilities internally to members of the sales force as well as to project managers.

Develops and executes plan to market our capabilities with customers quarterly.

Uses analytics to maximize sales/profitability for top manufacturers.

Analyzes market and makes recommendations for commodities.

Participates in the preparation of the annual budget and operating within its limits.

Runs promotions to drive sales.

Frequently completes joint sales calls to market our capabilities.

Negotiates with vendors to earn the best pricing possible while still maintaining positive relationships.

Establishes competitive pricing levels, supports rebate programs, and supports I-Mark vendors.

Identifies and takes advantage of bundling opportunities with pricing and/or product.

Participates on SPAM Team

Develops ongoing positive relationships with Sales Team, local manufacturer s reps and agents.

Makes recommendations on inventory by articulating the needs of customers and researching the financial impacts.

Coordinates with all internal departments regarding logistics surrounding commodities as they move from the manufacturer through our distribution centers and eventually to our customers.

Quotes jobs as needed.

Follows-up with customers and vendors, keeping track of job status and assisting in closing orders.

Produces weekly/monthly reports as required.

Performs other duties as assigned.
