The Product Compliance/Quality Assurance Specialist will have a fundamental understanding of the Company s brand and quality standards as well as compliance and testing requirements related to Happy Brands product. They will work cross functionally and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product, procurement, production, sales, and marketing teams, as well as our factory partners and labs, to ensure these requirements are met including product testing, quality, and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Product Compliance:
- the tracking, receipt, review and approval process of photo, pre-production, and production samples with product management, design, and production teams. Lead working with design, production, and sourcing departments on all revisions.
- timely communication of approvals, comments or required revisions to factory partners.
Product Testing:
- track and submit all product testing as needed for licensors and retail partners as required; In the event of failed test results, continued follow through until successful resolution and passing results are achieved.
- relationship with factory partners and product safety testing companies.
- accurate records and documentation in company s PLM systems as well as Customer portals for all related compliance activities and product testing.
Compliance:
- suppliers have appropriate certification as required by licensing and retail partners.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent years of experience
- 3-5 years of experience preferably in a compliance or compliance adjacent role such as sourcing or procurement
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate compliance requirements and issues to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with oversees manufacturers.

- Experienced in Microsoft Office and Teams
- Print production experience
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention-to-detail
- MacOS experience preferred
- Product knowledge and brand identification a plus
- Skilled in prioritization to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Frequently required to walk, sit, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to stand, reach, stoop, and handle and/or lift and up to 25 pounds. Must be able to check reports for completion and accuracy and to retrieve and transmit information. Use of general office environment equipment.
