Description
Exciting opportunity for summer work in one of our Early Education Centers. This is a seasonal position 15 - 20 hours / week over the summer.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Sunbeam Summer Select Classroom Assistant contributes to the operation of Sunbeam's early education centers by performing a variety of administrative, office, and early child care related duties. Classroom Assistant (CA) may assist Teachers complete tasks in classroom environment for children aged birth to 4 years.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in preparing early education center for new school year, including but not limited to creating posters and labels, copying documents, putting together play activities, etc.
- Assist in helping maintain a clean and organized childcare space, including sanitizing toys, equipment, and surfaces.
- Assist with in-classroom activities, as directed, including but not limited to supporting teachers during children nap times.
- Follow all established school policies and procedures regarding childcare responsibilities.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

EducationCurrently enrolled in an accredited Oklahoma early child care / education vocational program.

Able to use office equipment including but not limited to copy machines and computer for assigned tasks

WORKING CONDITIONSPhysical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently communicate with staff and others, and must be able to exchange accurate information when doing so. The employee must also be able to interact safely with small children in various positions. Must be able to endure remaining in stationary position for extended periods (up to 50% of workday). Occasionally must be able to move or lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Work Environment
The employee will work in a school environment, may work in close quarters with other staff and small children. The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to loud; frequent chaotic situations will occur, characteristic to working with children ages 0 5 years. Employee must expect exposure to strong odors such as soiled diapers and clothes, and poor hygiene. May come into contact with childhood diseases and blood on occasion.
