Position Overview: My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Scheduler with a background in transmission or distribution projects to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient execution of our projects, contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules for transmission and distribution projects, including but not limited to, creating work breakdown structures (WBS), defining project milestones, and establishing critical paths.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project information, identify dependencies, and integrate input into the master schedule.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and propose mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Conduct schedule analysis and provide regular reports to project teams and management on project performance, including variance analysis and trend identification.
- Participate in project planning meetings to provide scheduling expertise and ensure alignment between project objectives and scheduling activities.
- Implement and maintain scheduling best practices, tools, and techniques to optimize project delivery and resource utilization.
- Support the development of project execution plans, resource plans, and cost estimates as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Scheduler in the transmission or distribution industry, with a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with transmission and distribution systems, construction processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate schedule conflicts and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) are a plus.
