Position DescriptionTitle: Deposit Operations SpecialistDepartment:OperationsReports to: AVP, Deposit Operations ManagerSupervises:NoneClassification:Non-exemptDate Prepared: May 6, 2024Pay Range: $39,629-$61,085Summary / ObjectiveResponsible for operational functions as well as procedures and practices assigned to the Deposit Operations department. Examples of these functions include wire transfer activity, daily overdrafts and quality control.Experience & Education Requirements:Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in operations or bankingProven organizational and customer service skillsEffective interpersonal, communication and computer skillsSpecific Job Functions:Responsible for quality control of new accounts, account/person/organization maintenance utilizing various platformsResponsible for customer outreach to review potential fraudulent debit card transactionsResponsible for the daily completion of exception items, ATM/Debit card ordering and processing of incoming and outgoing wiresResponsible for settlements of teller capture, lockbox, mobile and remote deposit capture (RDC)Responsible for NSF processing including review of daily overdrafts, return deposit items, stop payments and collections in accordance with established Bank policies and proceduresReconciles ATM/Debit transactions daily to the General Ledger (GL)Maintains remote deposit capture files and processes daily files; maintains monthly recordsResponsible for the operational settlement of ATM machinesServe as back up to various critical functions within the DepartmentProvides support and assistance relative to branch operational activities. Processes daily mobile check deposit filesParticipates in operational training meetings. Attends seminars regarding banking industry activities and participates in departmental cross trainingKeeps informed of relative changes in Bank policies, procedure and productsRequired knowledge, skills & abilities:Good understanding of financial products and servicesGood understanding of related Federal and State banking regulationsGood understanding of spreadsheetsAbility to apply critical thinking and problem solving skillsAbility to recognize various issues that may require further research and/or investigation in order to consider possible solutionsSuccessful completion of in-house training programs or other approved training programsCompliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations as appropriate to the positionPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to use standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiersRequires manual dexterity and sitting for longer periods of timeMust be able to work schedules that meet the needs of the Bank, which may include early morning, evening and /or weekend hoursOther DutiesThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
