VP of Corporate Finance/FP&A ($180,000 - $200,000 salary plus 30% bonus)

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client in their search for a VP of Corporate Finance/FP&A. This senior-level role is responsible for all earnings analysis and explanations of results for the organization, as well as the annual financial earnings budget process. S/he analyzes earnings and profitability drivers to provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance. The role is to work with the CFO and key financial managers to ensure the current and future state of the company's financial temperature is clear while performing analysis and modeling, as necessary. S/He actively develops and creates public financial documents and communicates with investors.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, compile, and review earnings by the subject matter financial experts through the monthly earnings package. Examine financial results for errors and anomalies. Analyze and research emerging trends in results.
  • Present consolidated financial results and explanations to senior management and auditors. Analyze, project, and present key financial items of high importance to senior management while identifying changing trends. Define and translate tracking strategies to KPIs while identifying opportunities for earnings enhancement and cost optimization.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and create material related to financial-oriented requests from the board of directors, including earnings trends, budget performance, detailed financial budget, valuations, capital planning, and executive compensation.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis. Collaborate with business partners to assess the financial impact of business decisions and initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Work with other key financial individuals in drafting language for the earnings press release, CFO script for the investors' earnings call, 10-Q, and 10-K. Provide a source of knowledge of historical and emerging trends in the business. Review and guide presentation of information.
  • Continue to identify and drive process and technology improvements for productivity, improved business insights, and leveraging team for growth.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, and Business management
  • 10+ years of previous related experience
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and other analytical tools; managerial accounting experience; accounting/financial system experience; analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
