**Wage Rate**: $48,000 - $54,000 DOE

**Job Summary:**

**Lifelong is looking for someone who specializes in expressing gratitude and building relationships!** We need a teammate who can creatively engage with supporters and inspire them to invest in a shared mission. The Engagement Stewardship Specialist, under the supervision of the Director of Engagement, will be responsible for implementing strategies to create, strengthen, and elevate the Lifelong donor recognition program. This position focuses on cultivating, enhancing, and retaining relationships with donors and event attendees.

**Essential Duties** **:**

* Promotes a culture of stewardship and best practices across donor groups by implementing stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with donors.

* Coordinates and makes donor thank-you phone calls.

* Drafts and creates stewardship correspondence, including acknowledgement letters, donor impact reports, handwritten notes, and emails.

* Assists in the writing and implementation of donor solicitations including mail, email, social, and in person asks.

* Creates, manages, and executes a calendar of stewardship and cultivation touch points for donor giving segments including annual fund, mid-level donors, and mid-major donors.

* Works in collaboration with all development, communications, and volunteer team members to identify and cultivate prospects for giving groups.

* Assists in planning donor tours, small gatherings/events, and recognition programs.

* Utilizes Salesforce to update and maintain donor records and activities.

* Other duties as assigned.

**Core Competencies** **:** Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred expert communicator with experience writing correspondences, as well as an ability to put people at ease in one-on-one or small group settings and a high comfort level for reaching out to donors or prospects on the phone or in person. *

* Demonstrated commitment to racial equity and cultural inclusion.

* Rated proficiency with MS Office Suite.

* Proven experience with Salesforce or equivalent donor database.

* Demonstrated knowledge of project management and ability to concurrently manage and coordinate multiple projects, consistently meet deadlines, balance competing demands, and make decisions about priorities.

* Have understanding and appreciation of the value of working collaboratively across teams and asking for help when needed.

* Proven ability to write compelling copy writing samples required.

* Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, develop alternative solutions, and use reason to achieve successful outcomes.

* Proven ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.

* Ability to demonstrate flexibility and an all hands-on deck demeanor.

**Education and Experience** **:** Preferred bachelors degree and/or minimum three years experience fundraising in a nonprofit, advocacy, or political campaign environment. * This role is temporarily hybrid with the requirement of working at Lifelongs Georgetown office at least three days a week (M-F schedule).
