Primary Purpose


In collaboration with other project managers and with other functional teams, guide design,construction, and coastal work opportunities throught he process of bidding, drafting, and building. Ensure work plans and timelines are reasonable, documents are submitted on time, work products transition efficiently between functions, all related tasks are accomplished, and quality outcomes are achieved; solve problems that otherwise might inhibit efficiency, completion, or profitability.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Actively lead company efforts to execute all appropriate tasks and responsibilities necessary to facilitate a successful project, in coordination with other business functions/teams;
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients by explaining opportunities, providing data and information, and solving problems;
  • Engage with and complement efforts by business development staff to select and pursue opportunities; engage and complement efforts by design staff to support their efforts to deliver outcomes consistent with the project plan and timeline;
  • Create appropriate files and records in electronic systems,which include but are not limited to Spectrum, Bid2Win, Salesforce, and Smartsheets, that capture all pertinent data and information about projects;
  • Lead all contract management tasks related to assigned projects,which include but are not limited to insurance, bonding, change orders, and reporting.
  • Manage any subcontract relationships and ensure compliance with and reporting for set-aside and/or minority requirements;
  • Control project budgets and manage expenses; develop accurate and complete invoices each month for open projects,and authorize payment on invoices sent to the company by vendors;
  • Establish effective, professional relationships with partners and vendors that support business development, design, and construction functions;
  • Develop monthly WIP reporting, and track project-specific data, which includes but are not limited to retainage, profitability, equipment costs, overtime,and other information of interest;
  • Engage with government inspectors, clients, and property owners to offer updates and resolve problems or complaints;
  • Identify and share opportunities for improved practices or operating efficiencies.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree preferred; substantial relevant experience may be substituted
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible field experience required
  • Significant ability to communicate successfully and interact well with others
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work successfully on multiple tasks
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and good judgment
  • Proficiency with officee quipment, MS Office Suite,Internet, and email
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • PMP certification is preferred
