Hiring Opportunity: Dayton, Ohio

Our client is looking for a Programmer to join a top metal forming company, known for their close tolerance hand spinning, CNC metal spinning, hydroforming, metal stamping and punching, and laser cutting.

The programmer will program, set-up, and operate machinery for the fabrication and production of parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

-Develop CNC programs for mills based on drawings and models
-Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data in order to calculate correct part dimension for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates
-Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment. Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements
-Interact with computer-based controllers (conversational and G&M code) to enter and/or edit job programs and tool selection information
-Work with operators to optimize machine capabilities
-Plan, understand, and interpret drawings, specifications, material, and operating instructions before and while running operations and equipment
-Produce and inspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standards
-Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work to drawings
-Verify initial product quality checks and complete all processing operations
-Inspect parts against blueprints and specifications; ensuring product meets specified quality standards
-Update related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasks
-Ability to stand and operate machinery throughout the duration of shift, except for scheduled breaks
-Ability to lift required objects with or without assistance, turn, load/unload required objects
-Demonstrate safe work habits
-Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner
-Maintain current, overall, and job specific trainings and requirements

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

-Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
-Detail oriented
-Manage time with little to no supervision, self-motivated
-Basic math and trigonometry skills
-Blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities
-Proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming
-AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitment
-High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
-Minimum three (3) years of experience
-Experience working with three (3) and five (5) axis equipment machining aluminum and steel

Required Personal Protective Equipment:

-Safety glasses with side shields as required
-Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required
-Gloves as required
-Earplugs as required
-Welding hood, jacket, face shield, and/or gloves as required
-Fire Retardant (FR) clothing as required
-N-95 mask or respirator as required
-Seat belts required on all forklifts
