Job Description: As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in our procurement team, overseeing all aspects of procurement activities related to tier one manufacturing. You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials and services while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings, quality improvements, and supply chain efficiencies.
- Manage supplier relationships, including conducting supplier evaluations, negotiations, and performance reviews.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers, ensuring a robust supply chain that meets the company's requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure alignment on procurement goals and objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and practices.
- Monitor market trends and economic factors that may impact procurement strategies and make recommendations accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
