Job Description:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and maintenance of assigned enterprise architecture projects, directed by the government, and takes project from planning through final delivery.
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services.
  • Defines project scope and objectives and develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews enterprise architecture deliverables.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to enterprise architecture team.
  • Directs and participates in high-level enterprise architecture analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development.
  • Applies high-level business and technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at creative engineering solutions.
  • Recommends actions to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Qualifications:

  • Has a deep understanding of DoD business transformation and processes, DoD organizational structure, and experience in developing briefings and responses to higher level agencies.
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with the DoDAF, the Business Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Transition Plan, Service Oriented Architecture, and the Business Mission Area Federation Strategy and Roadmap.
  • Lead the development the Methodology and Architecture Planning Guide.
  • Familiar with the Core Business Mission.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Document current processes or procedures for recurrent day to day tasks where they do not exist. Recommend and implement Process Improvement (PI) with the concurrence of the government and IAW coordination procedures provided by Customer. Identify areas for improvement through the Integrated Project Teams (IPT) and working groups for consideration and implementation across the enterprise.
  • Coordinate project task development and completion for projects as well as review and technical oversight of developed projects to support the Customer and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support in IPTs to support functional areas in requirement of development and planning.
  • Provide daily ongoing Enterprise and architectural support for local and wide area network integration tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept, and for progress in accordance with established schedules. Support the rapid growth of roles and responsibilities relating to centralized network operations, consolidation of network services, and integration of new initiatives to support the Customer mission.
  • Provide security management services, ensuring adequate security safeguards are provided to prevent deliberate or inadvertent unauthorized disclosure, denial of services, and unauthorized manipulation of information and unauthorized use of the enterprise network.
  • Provide technical support with regards to requirement analysis planning in support of the migration and integration of current legacy systems.
  • Provide technical support in the requirements analysis, development, and implementation of technical solutions to support internal cyber and space systems operations and business processes.
  • Examine, evaluate, and monitor baseline hardware and software Configuration Items (CI) to support version control.
  • Provide technical support in and conducting quality assurance and acceptance testing of IT applications throughout the life cycle.
  • Provide technical support in the fielding of IT Systems by defining the sequence of fielding tasks for planned IT deployments and employments (including activities required to plan, pilot, deploy, test, and handover an IT system).
  • Provide technical support to system technical planning for installation personnel in support of Customer stakeholders.
  • Provide technical and operational support to include network administration services, documentation maintenance, and routine system problem identification and correction.
  • Provide engineering support services for Industry and Vendor presentations at the Customer level.
  • Provide Technical, Administrative, Engineering and Integration support for short-term duration projects. Coordinate with Customer agencies and Project Stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for integration support in the infrastructure service area.
  • Support the development and delivery of the bi-annual Network Engineering (WAN) Progress Report; as-needed System Synchronization Efforts Meeting Minutes; and monthly System Engineering Support Project Progress Report.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, in-progress reviews (IPR) and working groups that are scheduled for the purpose of developing, reviewing, or coordinating IT IPT project related documents, procuring planning hardware/software procurement, software and system fielding.
