**Opportunity**

A Lead Security Officer plays a significant role in ensuring a safe, secure, and friendly environment at Kohler Co. A lead Security Officer, Manufacturing/Warehouse (M/W) locations, is responsible for all facets of security at the respective site, as well as oversight of contract security personnel. They will support site management in local initiatives and assist with investigations as necessary. Additionally, a Lead Security Officer will be responsible for safeguarding Kohler Co. and the Kohler brand by identifying risks and maintaining security processes to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure or liability in all areas: financial, physical, and personnel. Lead Security Officers will also ensure that standardized security practices, systems, and processes are being utilized to meet corporate security guidelines and policies.

A Kohler Co. Lead Security Officer is a friendly resource to individuals who need assistance,

medical aid, crisis intervention or local directions. Lead Security Officers respond quickly in

emergency situations as an integral team member and serve to protect the property, guests,

visitors, and employees of Kohler Co. Lead Security Officers are responsible for the protection

and safeguarding of all Kohler Co. assets (people, property, information, and reputation).

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**

- A M/W Lead Officers schedule will be assigned per the operational needs of the specific site.

- Provide training, verify appropriate customer service levels and contractual needs are being met with contract security staff.

- Troubleshoot all Security Systems as needed or if requested by Security Systems team.

- Ensure the status of all security audit items are kept current in the security audit system through Service Now.

- Takes the lead in improving security processes and procedures by identifying specific problems or deficiencies.

- Demonstrates a high level of expertise for all computer software used by Corporate Security.

- Conducts/assists in the investigation of reported violations of security/safety matters or corporate policies.

- Responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of associates, customers, visitors, and assets.

- Observe and report all suspicious activity or policy violations.

- Supervises the equipment used by personnel, investigates unusual incidents, and directs activities at emergencies.

- Performs all functional duties of their role at a very high level.

- Consistently delivers outstanding customer service to internal and external customers.

- Participates in the planning of departmental objectives.

**Skills/Requirements**

- An associates degree is preferred. However, significant experience may be substituted for the two-year degree after review and approval of the Director of Corporate Security.

- In addition to the two-year degree, experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is required.

- A valid driver's license is required.

- Must have strong people skills, be customer service oriented, and accountable for ones own actions.

- Must be a self-starter, well-motivated individual in good physical condition.
