** Capital Equipment Buyer**
Location: Auburn Hills, MI, US
Entry Level: Professionals (3+ years) Function: Purchasing **Webasto Roof Systems Inc. is currently recruiting for a Capital Equipment Buyer located at their Auburn Hills HQ.**

**Job Responsibilities:**
* Negotiate prices with suppliers to maximize company savings
* Development of contract agreements for recommended purchases
* Coordination of sourcing activities with suppliers and internal WRS AM departments
* Implement cost savings programs that include long-term agreements, rebates, market testing, resourcing, value analysis and target pricing, etc.
* Conduct visits at suppliers to ensure compliance with WRS AM policies and procedures and to understand supplier processes
* Investigate time delays and problem solve to prevent program delays
* Know, understand, and utilize IATF 16949 and APQP procedures pertaining to their job responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a positive and ethical relationship with suppliers
* Complete special projects/assignments as requested
* Interface with Accounting regarding supplier payment issues
* Monitor supplier performance i.e.; cost, quality, delivery, etc. and initiate corrective actions where necessary
* Provide support regarding the submission of RNs for authorized items
* Confirmation of submitted invoices to confirm completion prior to payment
* Submission of periodic reports to support the PUR dept.
* Management of suppliers to ensure completion of projects
* Printing, processing, filing, and distributing purchase orders as required
**Education & Experience:**
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
* 3+ years of experience in purchasing capital equipment and tooling
* Experience with MS Office tools, including Excel
* Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices
* Solid negotiation skills
