About the role:
The Senior Accountant position is a full time 100% remote position and a key member of the Finance team. The Senior Accountant maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.
We carefully consider a variety of factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $89,700.00 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $108,400.00 annually.
What you will do:
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP and Statutory financial statements and filings for external and internal users. Participates in GAAP audits and statutory examinations.
- Review monthly transactions created by the investment and reinsurance areas
- Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Assists in the preparation of the consolidated tax return and consolidated financial statements.
What you will need:- A four (4) year degree in accounting or business
- 4-7 years of related Finance experience
- 3 years of insurance experience
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, GL software, and Database management software.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials a plus.
