We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Accounting Team in Seattle, WA.

What will YOU do?

The Financial Analyst partners with stakeholders to create budgets for the organization and individual departments or funders. The Financial Analyst analyzes revenue projections and budget or expenditure forecasts for the organization, and is responsible for creating, supporting and maintaining financial data flows and reports.

Pay Rate: $80,000 - $90,000 per year.

Work Schedule: Monday Through Friday, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Lead the annual budget process for the organization. Prepare budget materials including budget instructions, forms, work sheets and related expenditure and revenue information. Provide training to department leaders in the budget process and data acquisition.

Support the month-to-month forecasting process for the organization. Provide support to the CFO and Controller in updating financial data and modeling. Collaborate with the IT department on forecasting tools and data flows.

Provide organizational financial analysis, modeling, and reporting using tools such as Power Pivot and Power Bl to enable data informed decisions and support program, department and organizational initiatives.

Prepare reports for internal and external review. Provide support for annual audits and funder site visits.

Review and analyze specific accounting procedures and systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy of process using GAAP. Analyze complex financial and/or statistical data and determine their significance.

Assist with month-end close as needed. Prepare and post journal entries.

Gather, compile, and prepare financial data, statements, reports, and accompanying explanatory notes in accordance with GAAP.

Review reports and documents for compliance with state and federal regulations, contractual agreements, and policies and procedures.

Perform specialized accounting activities in accounting system. Maintain and reconcile assigned accounts and financial systems.

May assign, check, and audit work of other accounting positions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.

Four (4) years' professional accounting experience with at least two (2) years as a financial analyst in a non-profit or similar organization.

Two (2) years' experience working with financial software, such as MIP or another accounting software
