Salary: $130k-$185k plus benefits


My client is a premier Construction Management firm specializing in muti-family residential construction, including affordable/market rate/luxury condo buildings. As they continue to grow and take on new projects, they are looking for a skilled Construction Estimator to join their team.


The Construction Estimator will -

Play a crucial role in operations, responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial interior projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, architects, clients, and suppliers to ensure that all estimates are accurate and competitive.


Responsibilities of the Construction Estimator will involve -

  • Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material, and labor estimates for projects.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
  • Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors and negotiating contracts.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information necessary for accurate estimates.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of unit costs, labor rates, productivity factors, and location impacts.
  • Evaluate a product's cost-effectiveness or profitability.
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs.
  • Work closely with the project management team throughout the project lifecycle to adjust estimates and budgets as necessary.


The ideal Construction Estimator will have -

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Take-Off)
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present estimates and budgets clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with an aptitude for problem-solving.
