Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

United Graphics is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Printing and Production Assistant, reporting to the Production Leader. The Printing and Production Assistant is primarily responsible for operation and maintenance of direct to garment printers, other apparel augmentation equipment and production of graphic designs on various types of clothing for our valued and established customer base. Applicants should be driven, detail oriented, with a strong desire to produce high-quality prints in an increasingly rapid timeframe. The ideal candidate should have an eye for accuracy, comfort with technology, be a self-starter, and have a teamwork-oriented mentality.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up printers according to established company guidelines for safe operation and individual job requirements.
  • Monitor print supplies and garment inventory min/max levels and communicate the need for replacement with the Production Leader.
  • Pick products from the warehouse for labeling and order processing.
  • Pretreat and dry garments before production.
  • Print job(s) maintaining optimum production rate, color density, and registration to meet company quality standards.
  • Heat cure printed product.
  • Determine work priorities and expedite workflow.
  • Perform regular maintenance of print devices and responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the production facility.
  • Coordinate with the Production Leader and equipment manufacturers when extensive repairs are required.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have normal color vision (trichromats)
  • Ability to use a ruler as well as work with measurements in fractions and decimals
  • Excellent focus on quality assurance to minimize waste
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and exceptional time management skills
  • Must be a self-starter and team player
  • Problem solving skill.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


SCHEDULE:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift
  • 8:00am to 5:00pm

JOB TYPE:
  • Full-time
  • Pay: $16.00/hour

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
  • 1 + years experience of production processes and meeting production deadlines.
  • Proficient with a PC and suite of Office applications as well as Google Drive, Docs and Sheets
  • Able to regularly move and carry and lift product and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and stand for long periods
