As a Security Officer, a typical day might include the following:* Greeting guests and providing them with fast, friendly service* Accurately checking guest identification* Ensuring all dress code procedures are being enforced* Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed according to company guidelines* Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner* Handling situations quickly, efficiently, and safely* Diffusing difficult situations* Ensuring safety of both guests and staff throughout the entire venue* Other duties as assignedThis job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:* At least 1 year previous security experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage environment and/or nightclub* Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check* You present a neat and professional appearance* Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers* Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members* You have flexibility with schedule which includes availability to work nights, weekends and holidays* Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs* Proven ability to de-escalate issuesPhysical Demands / Work Environment / HoursThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
