The Sr Tax Accountant is responsible for preparing efficient, accurate and timely tax returns and financial statements for assigned clients. Senior Tax Accountant Position Summary:
-Accumulate, analyze, and process financial accounting data in order to prepare tax returns, estimated tax payments, forecasts and financial accounting estimates of tax.
-Assist clients in solving complex tax issues.
-Research tax concepts and their application to client situations.
-Assist the Tax Manager with gathering information and drafting a response for various IRS and state notices received by Firm clients.
-Identify and resolve client tax concerns while building long-term professional relationships.
-Make recommendations to clients regarding tax issues.
-Supervise staff members assisting with tax return preparation.
-Develop and nurture external referral networks for prospective clients.
Senior Tax Accountant Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor s Degree in Accounting required.
-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License preferred.
-Minimum two years relevant experience in public accounting.
-Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
-Focus and dedication to client service.
-Strong ability to multitask, stay organized, and take ownership of projects to see them through to completion.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
